Embroidered Purses

Brought back from the Sindh and Baluchistan, these small purses called
bushkiri were used by a bride to hold dowry money or to store valuables.
All together there are 30 purses of individual sizes and intricately
embroidered designs, some with mirror work. Workmanship like this,
done with care and love, imparts a sense of tranquility and satisfaction.
I hope you have chance to see this exhibition.
